We are happy to announce that Sunweb Group has been granted an Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL) in the United Kingdom. We worked closely for over 2 years with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to comply with British law following changes to the aviation protection scheme in January 2020, due to Brexit. 

ATOL protection ensures that all our UK customers travelling with Sunweb Ski or Eliza was here, and their money, are fully protected in the unlikely event of Sunweb Group ceasing trading. Of course, previously, UK travellers were fully protected by Dutch fund SGR and all non-flight holidays were covered by ABTA, so guarantees were in place throughout.

The ATOL is a big milestone for Sunweb Group and something we’ve been working towards for a long time. Most importantly, we are pleased that we can continue to offer our customers unique and wonderful holidays across Europe, safe in the knowledge they are fully protected; offering them more time to enjoy their worry-free holiday.
