Autumn holiday bookings up across markets
During the autumn holiday season, we saw an increase of 30-50% in bookings across our home markets. Popular destinations were Crete and Kos, Gran Canaria and the Turkish Riviera. Rhodes, Zakynthos and Majorca were also favourites.
Larger bookings
The average travel sum for autumn holidays had grown quite significantly compared to last year. Dutch holidaymakers spend an average of €920 per person, compared to €830 pp in 2022. Their Belgian counterparts even show an increase from €990 pp in 2022 to €1074 pp now. Popular choices are weekly stays in half-board or all-inclusive hotels.
Winter bookings also in demand
Immediately after the high season, we already saw significant growth in bookings for winter sun holidays. Tim van den Bergh, director Sun & Beach: “Bookings for both autumn and winter sun holidays have gone very fast in recent months. We have double the number of bookings in some destinations compared to 2022, for both Sunweb and Eliza was here.”
