Annually, we send 100,000 holiday makers from Belgium, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, and France to sunny Egypt. In the next 2 years, Sunweb Group will increase this number to 350,000 guests a year, thanks to our collaboration with the Egypt Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities.

Just recently, His Excellency Mr Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism & Antiquities, hosted our CEO Mattijs ten Brink. Sunweb Group is committed to sustainable change within the industry and we share this mission with the ministry.

The minister also invited Mattijs to visit the recent discoveries at Sakkara, guided by Dr Sabry Farag. He was privileged to view the tomb of high-ranking priest and nobleman Wahti, discovered in 2018.
