We’ve started the 2023 summer season, and I am very much looking forward to it! I think everyone is curious to see how this season will go, now that we’ve started our first pre-season without the limitations of the last 3 years. We are more than ready to provide the best customer experience along with you.
When I look at the sales performance of this winter, I can say we’re satisfied. We’ve been able to convert the markets’ demand into bookings across the board. Virtually all markets are performing well in our sales regions such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, France, and Sweden. Summer bookings are showing a pattern: potential customers are interested in our holidays and almost all destinations are performing better than last year.
To elaborate, bookings for the pre- and post-seasons are up from last year and our predictions; high-season sales could do with a boost. We notice customers are a bit more hesitant here. Another trend is that customers are increasingly booking holidays from regional Dutch airports as well as German or Belgian ones. We anticipated on this trend by purchasing additional capacity from Weeze Airport (Germany) to Antalya, Bodrum, Heraklion, Kos, Rhodes, and Zakynthos.
Partner strategy
Within Sunweb Group, we are continuing to roll out our partner strategy. One of the key pillars of this strategy is the implementation of our connectivity initiatives. We’ve now reached a wonderful milestone by going live with our Partner Connectivity Platform with renowned channel manager Dingus. In the coming months, you’ll be seeing a number of concrete developments on this front. Watch this space!
